Wallace Mair / Biography
Wallace grew up in the small fishing village of Tarbert, Argyll, Loch Fyne on the West coast of Scotland.  Wallace started playing music from a very early age and by the time he had reached the age of fourteen he was already performing live on stage with his Father and Uncle in a band called Revival.

Wallace  had a musical upbringing, his Father Wallace was a member of the 60’s band Rab & The Clansmen who were a highly successful band at the time, touring the UK and America .

Three Generations of the Mair Family

Wallace started writing his own songs in his late teens, every spare minute that  was available to him was taken up with writing on endless scraps of paper and endless hours of playing the guitar and finding the various different styles he could achieve.

He had success in 2006 with song writing collaborator Margaret Ritchie by securing a publishing deal with Cringe Music Publishers.
In August 2005 the pair made the UK Song Writing Final with their song 'Love Untold'.
August 2006, in the same competition, the pair made the semi final with their co-written song 'Hold You Tonight', both songs are on their co-written album called 'Something We Can Do' which was released 12th May 2007 and available to purchase on this site from the shopping page.

June 2006 brought more good news, Wallace's album 'Stay A While' was signed to Somebody's Music Record label  www.somebodysmusic.com .

In August 2007 Margaret & Wallace entered 4 songs to the UK Songwriting Contest and both were delighted to see 2 tracks make the semi final and 2 tracks were commended.

Wallace would like to thank Chris Ashman of Cringe Music, John Milton of Somebodys Music and family, friends and everyone who has supported him through his musical journey.

Wallace is looking forward to a long and happy career in the music industry and looking forward to the songs being covered by other Artistes.
